The Tellington (TTouch™) Method utilizes gentle touches and ground
exercises, working with your companion animal in a respectful manner.
It
has been proven to calm animals and restore confidence as well as
alleviate their pains, fears and tensions. TTouch™ can contribute
positively toward improving a wide variety of behavioral and health
problems. It offers a new form of communication, training, and
facilitation of healing, for you and your companion animal.
The Tellington (TTouch™) Method is a safe, positive,
nonviolent
method of interacting with all species using a combination of gentle
touches, focused movement and a proactive approach to learning.
These techniques support healthy life skills by:
- Managing stress
- Fostering self confidence
- Increasing ability to learn and make appropriate choices
- Promoting adaptability in new situations
- Improving behavior
- Enriching relationships
- Enhancing health and well-being
The Tellington Training Method (TTouch™) uses gentle touches based on circular movements, slides, and lifts to increase awareness through neurological sensation and to reduce stress and relax tension held in the body. This gentle touch activates the nervous system and stimulates
cell
function, thereby allowing change. The goal is to achieve balance;
when
you can balance the body physically you can balance it mentally and
emotionally. The TTouch method also uses non-habitual movements to
activate the unused neurological pathways to the brain. By
stimulating
different parts of the brain, we teach the animal to think and realize
it
has a choice of behavior. This approach turns reluctant or
uncooperative
animals into willing partners. In the Tellington Training Method, the
use of touches, movement and other tools, guides the animal through an
experience of self-discovery and self-confidence in previously
frightening or intimidating situations.
Alpha-Stim is an electrotherapy technique in a new form for animals. It is a drug-free behavior and pain management treatment. The Alpha-Stim generates a unique, proprietary electrical wave form that allows the animal’s cells to operate naturally by moving electrons throughout the animal’s body at a variety of frequencies, collectively known as harmonic resonance. The Alpha-Stim can be used to treat acute, chronic, or post-operative pain as well as bring relief to animals that deal with anxiety issues.
